Steve McManus is the Director and founder of 2 companies, McM Consultancy and Leaf Scissors. He has 20 years of experience within the hairdressing industry. Steve started as an apprentice at TONI&GUY and grew into an art director and educator for them in his early career. Steve then moved on to become the Head of Education and Talent Development for one of the U.K’s Leading chains of salons, Headmasters UK. 
Following this, Steve Set Up McM consultancy, so that he could share his wealth of operational and educational experience and has worked and managed all aspects of hairdressing businesses in our time.
He aims to help salons, brands, and individuals grow through a combination of effective education, leadership, operations, and passion. They believe in a people-first approach to work and pride themselves on building long-lasting, meaningful relationships with their clients.

Steve's other business is Leaf Scissors. Leaf was launched in 2019 as the world's first sustainable Scissor brand. Leaf’s high-quality tools are all packaged in Eco-friendly packaging and they plant at least 10 trees for every pair sold. Leaf has planted over 24,000 trees in its first 18 months of operating and has over 2500 happy customers across the world.
